Vintage Mid Century Side Table Renovation
This is a beautiful, vintage mid-century side table, or maybe 1 of 3 nesting tables, that I found at a thrift store for pennies on the dollar. It was in good condition, with some minor scratches here and there, but overall it looked great. I am so in love with the design, especially the legs!
I didn’t take a “before” pic, but you can imagine the previous condition of the top. With the use of my orbital sander with a 120 grit sandpaper, the top layer of the old chippy stain was removed.
I then applied one coat of Wood Stain in Provincial, followed by a coat of Polycrylic Clear Satin. After it dried, I applied another coat of Polycrylic.
It came out so pretty and smooth!
Now you can see her here in all of her splendor, with her restored top. The base and the legs were in almost perfect condition, so the decision not to paint them was easy.
