Wooden Vintage Chair

Hi Friends!

Recently, I found this vintage wooden chair at a thrift store. It’s a shame that I only found one, but it was worth buying for its style and price. The chair had no base, but this wasn’t a problem.  I have rescued so many chairs in the past that I have several extra bases at hand.

This was an easy transformation, as I had all the materials at hand: paint and fabric left over from previous projects.

For the purpose of making old things look new, I chose a grey metal paint. It definitely rejuvenated and gave it a new life!

To get this look, sand gently between the layers with 220 grit. Then apply a glaze tinted with black paint for a vintage look.

For the base, use 1/2 yard of cloth or fabric and secure with the staple gun.

It came out so pretty, that I would love to keep it for my desk. But no, I’m only dreaming; right now I have a great chair at my desk.
